Moche Warrior Stirrup Cup
A stirrup cup, so named because of the shape of the combined handle and spout depicts a kneeling warrior wearing a helmet and holding a maize shield and spear.
190mm tall. Ceramic - reproduction from Peru.
c 1st - 4th century AD.
The Moche people made many human styled stirrup cups - all were made in moulds.

Inca "Tumi" Knife
A traditional Inca Tumi knife depicting the god Naymhap for the festival of the end of harvest.
The priest would sacrifice a Llama and cut out its heart, then the animal was sacrificed asking for abundant crops.
Andean cultures also used the Tumi for surgical procedures called "Trephination" to treat bodily disturbances.
Various civilisations used trephination to treat head wounds to relieve pressure on the brain from the injury.
Many of these would be successful but just as many were not.
